Just down the end of the driveway and across the street is where the beaches start. The whole east shore of the island is called Crescent Beach. The further north you head the bigger the waves are. Starting at the beginning is Surf Beach and then heading north next is Baby Beach, State Beach, 1st Post, 2nd Post, Scotch Beach and, lastly, Mansion Beach. Other beaches around the island that are more secluded and tend to be rocky include West Beach, North Light, Black Rock and Vail Beach.
Behind the hedges along the driveway is Eli's restaurant and if you keep going straight across the street there is Aldo's Restaurant and Pizza. At the end of the driveway on the right is the Mohegan Cafe and left out of the driveway is The National Tap & Grille. CLICK HERE for all dining options on the island.

The island is certainly known for its lively and upbeat nightlife. Monday night Disco and Sunday Funday have become island tradition at Captain Nick's Rock and Roll Bar plus live bands all summer. And be sure not to miss Sunday Night Reggae and Tuesday is Latin or Balkan night at Yellow Kittens. The waters surrounding Block Island are filled with abundant marine animals and plenty of fishing. Book a day on the water with one of the local charter boats to experience a true island past time.
